“After a decade designing bespoke furniture pieces and beautiful functional objects for our commercial projects and studio spaces I wanted to showcase the stand out items. And also offer the opportunity to purchase some of them.

We’ve created and collaborated with many makers, trades and craftspeople over the ten years, and not forgetting the clients too - many dear friends amongst them all.

Why ‘Throbjects’? Well, we’ve always had a playful, irreverent and slightly provocative nature to the practice, highlighted through the designs themselves or when questioning the general acceptance of bland design in Scotland. What started as a project working title just stuck as throbbing (with ideas) is second nature to us.

We’ve also been prototyping new products with various local manufacturers that we can’t wait to share on this new platform.”
